Our Research

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

ICSI has been breaking ground in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence for four decades. Bridging foundational mathematics with real-world applications, our research helps to define what’s next in reliable, interpretable, and scalable algorithms.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) concept

Long before AI became ubiquitous in our lives, ICSI was charting new territory in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

At ICSI, the AI revolution was here all along. Our researchers have been pioneering work at the forefront of machine learning and artificial intelligence since the 1980s, creating hardware, software, and conceptual innovations to power machine learning algorithms and applications. Today, our interdisciplinary experts are forging new pathways for algorithms that can scale with the world’s needs.

“One of the real strengths of ICSI is its support for interdisciplinary projects that really break through common assumptions and push the bounds on our knowledge and capabilities. It also enables people to work across sectors and bridge the interests of industry and academia.”
