Noah Fond

Biography

Noah Fond is an Affiliated Undergraduate Researcher at ICSI, where his work centers on applying machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence to solve complex real-world problems, with a focus on AI safety research.

At ICSI, Fond conducts research in deep learning and AI safety, exploring methods to improve the reliability, robustness, and societal impact of modern AI systems. He is interested in developing data-driven approaches that help ensure advanced machine learning models are transparent, trustworthy, and aligned with human goals.

In addition to his research at ICSI, Fond has built experience across industry, scientific research, and nonprofit organizations. He currently works as a Data Science Intern at Rapid Reviews\Infectious Diseases, where he has contributed to data-driven research initiatives in collaboration with MIT Press and the Gates Foundation. 

Fond’s technical expertise includes Python, Pandas, SQL, R, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization. He enjoys translating complex datasets into actionable insights and is particularly drawn to projects that combine rigorous analysis with meaningful societal applications. Across his academic, research, and professional work, he values collaboration, curiosity, and clear communication as essential components of impactful scientific discovery.

At ICSI, Fond continues to expand his interests at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and public benefit, with the goal of developing technologies that are both innovative and responsible.
