Biography

Arvind Krishnamurthy, PhD, is a member of the ICSI Board of Trustees and the Short-Dooley Professor in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. Dr. Krishnamurthy’s research interests span all aspects of building practical and robust computer systems, including distributed systems, high-performance networking, security, operating systems, and parallel computing. Recently, his research has focused on programmable networks and systems for machine learning.

Dr. Krishnamurthy has held leadership roles in prominent organizations, including serving as program chair and on technical steering committees for ACM SIGCOMM and USENIX NSDI. He also has served as vice president of USENIX and as a CRA board member. He received his PhD in computer science from UC Berkeley and was an assistant professor at Yale before joining the University of Washington faculty.
