Amanda Garrett

Biography

Amanda Garrett is the HR Generalist at ICSI, where she supports People Operations across the organization. She is PHR-certified and brings a background in human resources from smaller, fast-growing organizations and the research world, where she has built and scaled people programs from the ground up. Her work centers on onboarding, compliance, employee experience, and recruitment strategy.

At ICSI, Amanda partners closely with researchers and staff to support the full employee lifecycle, including visa coordination and employment authorization processes for international scholars and staff. She works extensively with external counsel to support immigration needs and ensure compliance with evolving visa and work authorization requirements. She also leads end-to-end recruitment and hiring strategies that strengthen teams across multiple states, while supporting HR processes that scale with the organization’s needs.

Amanda earned her MBA with a focus in International Business from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and holds a global academic foundation from the University of Texas at Austin, complemented by an exchange program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Drawing on this international experience, she brings cultural intelligence, data-driven decision making, and a people-first mindset to every challenge.
