Biography

Nadine Alameh, PhD, is a Senior Fellow at ICSI. An award-winning, industry-recognized leader in geospatial technologies and their intersection with some of today’s most pressing global challenges, including climate resilience, sustainability, and the future of intelligent infrastructure and cities, she has proven organization-building and -scaling experience with an extensive global network across multiple industries spanning geospatial, Earth observations, data science, AI, and climate across industry, government, academia, and nonprofits.

Dr. Alameh is a champion of collaboration, entrepreneurship, and bridging technology and policy, which she currently exercises as a board member of the Private Sector Network of the UN committee of experts, as an appointed advisor to the US National Geospatial Advisory Committee, and previously as senior technical advisor to NASA Earth Sciences Division. Her industry leadership positions include a Chief Architect role at Northrop Grumman Civil Solutions Division, and the CEO of a cloud-based Aviation information management startup.

As founder of LunateAI, Dr. Alameh brings her deep expertise, leadership, and connections in the geospatial sector to bridge the gap between user requirements and the growing portfolio of geospatial data, products, solutions and partners. She has a unique pulse on the geospatial market building on her tenure as CEO & President of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) which she successfully grew to 580+ organizations spanning users, providers, and integrators of geospatial information globally. Furthermore, her experience establishing a world-class geospatial research partnership network at TGI gives her a distinctive grasp of the latest innovations in leveraging geospatial, Earth observation (EO), and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Alameh holds three degrees from MIT: a PhD in Computer and Information Systems Engineering, an MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and a Master in City Planning. She holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
