Katherine Kim

Biography

Katherine Kim, PhD, is a Research Mentor at ICSI. She is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Medicine-Public Health Sciences/Health Informatics at UC Davis and Founder and CEO of Health Tequity. She also serves as Senior Scientist for Health at CITRIS: Center for Information Technology in the Interest of Society at UC Berkeley.

Dr. Kim’s work focuses on health informatics, digital health and AI, and community engagement. Before becoming an academic, she spent 20 years as a hospital and medical group manager, healthcare management consultant, and software entrepreneur. She has previously taught at UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University. Dr. Kim received a PhD from UC Davis, MBA and MPH from UC Berkeley, and BA from Harvard University.
