Biography

Christine Kirkpatrick serves as a member of the Technical Advisory Committee at ICSI. She leads the San Diego Supercomputer Center’s Research Data Services division, which manages large-scale infrastructure, networking, and services for research projects of regional and national scope. Kirkpatrick serves as principal investigator (PI) of the FAIR in ML, AI Readiness & Reproducibility RCN which focuses on promoting better practices for AI, improving reproducibility, and exploring research gaps in data-centric AI. In addition, she founded the GO FAIR US Office, is on the Executive Committee for theOpen Storage Network, and is Co-PI of the NSF-funded GRANDE-U: Groundwater Resilience Assessment through iNtegrated Data Exploration, a project focused on groundwater research in the Baltic states, and is a founder of the Transboundary Groundwater Resiliency (TGR) network

Kirkpatrick serves as the Secretary General of the International Science Council’s Committee on Data (CODATA) and co-Chairs the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s US National Committee on CODATA. She is on the Advisory Board for the Helmholtz Federated IT Services (HIFIS), co-chairs the FAIR Digital Object Forum.
