Congratulations to Prof. Scott Shenker, Principal Scientist and Co-Group Lead for Networked Systems at ICSI, on receiving the 2023 IEEE Computer Society Women of ENIAC Computer Pioneer Award “for pioneering contributions to scheduling and management of packet-switched networks, impacting the theory and practice of communication networks.” Prof. Shenker has co-founded several successful startup companies in addition to his academic and research appointments at UC Berkeley and ICSI. His current research focus is on creating an Extensible Internet (EI).
