Jeff Calleja

Jeff Calleja is the Head of Research Administration and Innovation for the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley, California. His responsibilities encompass oversight and execution on all aspects of the grant cycle, contract management, and the research administration staff who facilitate excellence in research. He is committed to enhancing research excellence and strengthening the role of research, scholarship, and creative activity across the Institute.

Jeff joined ICSI in the summer of 2024. His educational background includes a B.S. and M.S. in Justice and Social Inquiry from Arizona State University. He has over 18 years of experience in research development and research administration. His passion for program development and research began in the non-profit sector and ignited as a student researcher at ASU. Jeff is deeply invested in supporting the needs of the research community through a service model that values partnership among PIs and administrators.
