ICSI researchers Gerald Friedland and Jaeyoung Choi, along with co-authors Martha Larson and Alan Hanjalic, have won the best paper award at the 2019 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data for their work on “From Intra-Modal to Inter-Modal Space: Multi-task Learning of Joint Representation for Cross-Modal Retrieval.”
